So I'm wayyy behind on the Doctor Who series and just finished season 2 last night. All I can say is AHHHH I cried like a baby! I went into this series having no idea what it was about and whether it was a comedy or dramatic show. All I knew of was a time traveling doctor and companions, and I knew that crap-tons of people constantly talk about how this show breaks your heart, crushes your soul...you know, things like that. So I decided to give it a try and the first episode I was like, "What is this crap? It's so bad, it's embarassing." Then I realized that it was kind of supposed to be like that. It's real lighthearted and fun, cheesy and full of ridiculous aliens. They build everything up with serious, heart-wrenching tones but sugar-coat it the whole time with the Doctor's jokes, smile, and the insanely hilarious Daleks, and then they go "Oh yeah...that tension you've been feeling? Well, it's just popped and is overflowing into an ocean of despair." And you reach the end of season 2, and you're left crying like a kicked puppy left out in the rain.
Anyway, I loved this scene. The actors did a great job, and the emotions, especially Rose's, were just great. I wasn't going to be settled until I did something about it. I've been messing around with different brushes and trying to loosen up. I've been doing refined, detailed work for so long and I'm ready to scribble things out. So this was more of an exercise to work with a different style.

Doctor Who obviously does not belong to me.
